If you’re interested in seeing some output from Canon’s 350D/Rebel XT, DPReview have just posted some. Nothing jumps out at me as being amazingly good, and there seems to be some issues with dynamic range. Then again, most of these were shot with what looks like some punishing sunlight…

More SD/USB integration
Joining Sandisk’s folding SD/USB card, Delkin have introduced a similar type of deal, with a removeable cap instead of a hinged one. Wonder if it’s possible to have a USB plug come out the back of a CF…?

New macro lens from Canon
Potentially interesting new macro from Canon, but EF-S only: Canon EF-S 60 mm F2.8 macro lens. DPReview reports.
Canon’s 300D follow up
Let’s Go Digital (or “LetsGoDigital”, as they call themselves…) have a piece about the follow up to Canon’s 300D/Digital Rebel: the Digital Rebel XT. This’ll be called the 350D in Europe and contrary to the seeming leaking of this item that I commented here previously, Canon has officially announced it. (Then again, maybe they announced it because it was leaked.) Anyway, it looks OK – many of the main gripes with the 300D are fixed (AI Servo, MLU, colour!) It also adds a near-instant on like the 20D and 8Mp – not the same sensor as the 20D, it seems.
Seems pretty good to me.
